I was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi. From a young age, I was always was fascinated by how someone recovered from an injury or made their body stronger. I was fortunate through high school and college to have some great athletic trainers around me who always took the time to answer my questions on what they were doing. I found physical therapy was right up my alley and I can’t see myself doing anything else outside of helping people.
Not only do I want to help patients who come to me for rehab but I also want to help my fellow therapists and healthcare providers. This can be addressing subjects that many of us deal with from patient compliance to national healthcare cuts. I want to use my voice to advocate and motivate our profession. From writing to speaking opportunities, I want to spread not only the benefits of physical therapy, but also the issues we face in the profession.
I’m always interested for writing and speaking opportunities. Contact me if you would like to collaborate.
